While researching these props for a Christmas Ornament, we discovered that they were traditionally not really reliable. A failure rate of 35-40% is embarrassing onstage!
So, we wanted one that:
— Is a bit more consistent — works 99.6% of the time
— Requires no maintenance — No tape to replace or rubber pads to keep clean
— An external actuation for the mechanism — no reaching up inside to pull a loop
— And a bit more compact — less than a foot long so it fits in your show bag or table!
Routine: You have a spectator select a card…or two…or three. A totally free choice; NO FORCE, could be signed! The card is shuffled into the deck and the audience is introduced to your Duck. The cards are placed in a golden holder in front of the platform. You explain that The DUCK will read their mind to determine what card they’re thinking of, reach into the pack and find their chosen card!
…and it does EXACTLY THAT! REPEATEDLY if you like! You can even blindfold the bird (included) to prove it’s “not peeking.” (You’ve heard of Peeking Duck, right?) 😉
Just a FUN BIT for your family shows! Bicycle Poker-sized cards included, but will work with any standard sized deck.
3D printed from durable PLA+ plastic, birch plywood platform — Nothing to rot or rust! Overall dimensions 12″ long, 9 1/2″ tall and 4″ wide (30cm x 24cm x 10cm) and weighs about a pound-and-a-half.
