Our original design concept for the
Classic Spirit Cabinet,
themed to resemble something Houdini might have owned.
The prop was designed for maximum portability, breaking
down
into individual poles no more than five feet long.
Real wood poles, stained and varnished plus
gold-finished fittings gave a warm feel to the prop. Look closely and
you'll see "shaker handles." They look and act like convenient
spots to tie back the curtain...but easily allowed ghostly manifestations to
rattle the frame.
The tip of each pole was sheathed in steel to keep from splintering when the
assembly hardware was tightened.
