A handsome upright plaque is shown, bearing a
drawing of Jesus. Retelling the story of Easter, a tubular cover
is shown empty (think "empty tomb") and placed over the
picture.
Explaining that Jesus body lay
in that tomb for three days, you slowly turn the plaque three times...they're
now looking at the back. You lift the cover to
"amazingly" show that the word EMPTY has replaced the
picture.
They KNOW you just turned it backward and are NOT
impressed...and let you know...loudly!
The usual
"turn-it-around" gags ensue. You rebuke them, saying
"There were people back then too who didn't believe that tomb was
really empty. But it really was, and for a very good reason.
Because Jesus was "ALIVE."
With that, you turn the plaque around and instead
of the picture they expect, the word "ALIVE" has replaced it.
A great (and FUN)
illustration of the story of Easter. Includes plaque, cover,
gimmick, full instructions and routine.
